Meet Kelly Devine
I'm Kelly — the hands behind Devine Perks Pottery, making nature-inspired functional ceramics on the Mississippi Gulf Coast.
The story
My uncle was a potter while I was growing up, and every visit to his house meant time in the studio. When he passed away a few years ago I inherited everything in it — and during the pandemic, with time on my hands, I found my way back to the wheel. What started as gifts for friends grew into local art co-ops, makers markets, and, in 2024, a small business of my own.
Founded in memory of my uncle, Steve Hawthorne.
How each piece is made
Every piece is thrown, glazed, and finished by hand — drawn from the shells, marsh grasses, and light of the coast. Stoneware fired to be lived with, not set on a shelf.
Functional art, for all
Hand Crafted · Nature Inspired · Functional Art. Pieces meant to be used and loved — a morning mug, a dish for your rings, a plate that makes an ordinary supper feel like something.
Where I sell & teach
You'll find my work at makers markets and local shops around the coast, in pottery classes I teach at community venues, and through custom commissions. See upcoming classes or get in touch.
